Course Assessment

You’ll be required to sit two paper based written exams for OCR A Level Ancient History. Each paper makes up a percentage of your overall A Level qualification, the as set out below:

  • Written Exams
    • Paper 1: 2 hours 30 minutes – 50% of A-level – 98 marks
    • Paper 2: 2 hours 30 minutes – 50% of A-level – 98 marks

During this course, you will be required to complete learning activities, tests or assignments to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding. The grades do not count towards the overall A Level Ancient History qualification, however it does help to increase your knowledge and confidence in the subject. Assignments are marked by the course tutor and feedback is returned to you with each completed unit.
