Course Assessment

You will be required to sit two paper based written exams. Each paper makes up a percentage of your overall A Level qualification, and one piece of non-examined coursework (NEA) as set out below:

• Written Exams
  • Paper 1: 2 hours 30 minutes – 40% of A-level – 80 marks
  • Paper 2: 2 hours 30 minutes – 40% of A-level – 80 marks

• Non-Exam Assessment (NEA)
  • Coursework Assignment:  Task 1: 3,500-4,500 words – 20% of A-level – 40 marks

During the course, you will be required to complete learning activities, tests or assignments to show your knowledge and understanding of the units you have just learned. Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. We do advise that you have achieved a GCSE in History or an equivalent qualification before enrolling on this course. This A Level History course is at difficulty level 3 – equivalent to a BTEC or a 60 credit qualification. This course is suitable for learners of all ages.
