Course Outcome

Upon successful completion of this you will receive the following qualification: OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management. You will also achieve up to 120 credits towards an undergraduate bachelors degree.

OTHM is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). The Register of Regulated Qualifications Framework can be found on The OFQUAL Register. Practitioners working in these areas are much more employable having gained this level 4 diploma certification.

Course Assessment

You will be required to The assignments are approximately 2,000-3,000 words each. Learners are provided support on the modules and assignments from their online Course Tutor.

The assignment unit titles for the level 4 course are:

1. Promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Health and Social Care (20 credits)
2. Professional Development and Academic Writing Skills (20 credits)
3. Communication in the Caring Professions (20 credits)
4. Principles of Health and Safety for Health Professions (20 credits)
5. Assessment Processes in Health and Social Care Settings (20 credits)
6. Resource Management in Health and Social Care (20 credits)

You will not be required to take an external exam with the Health and Social Care Level 4 course, as your portfolio of evidence is internally assessed by us and externally quality assured by the awarding body. Your tutor will provide feedback on your work, and if any amendments are required, they will advise what is needed for you to complete that assignment.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this Health and Social Care Level 4 course however you must be at least 18 years old and must be able to communicate at a good standard level of English (Language). A level 3 qualification in Health & Social care is advantageous, but not essential. Learners typically have at least one of the following to show competence in academic skills:

• Relevant Level 3 Diploma qualification or equivalent qualification
• GCE Advanced level or A Levels in 2 subjects or equivalent qualification
• Mature learners (over 21) with relevant management experience (learners must check with us at Upskill Online UK regarding this experience prior to registering for the course if you do not have any of the above qualifications but hold relevant experience and knowledge).

English requirements: We suggest that you have achieved a level 2 in English and / or be fluent. Please speak with one of our friendly team who will help you with this if required.
