Course Assessment

You will be required to sit two paper based written exams. A pass grade is set at grades 4 / 5 and is formally a grade C). 9 is the highest grade equivalent to an A*. Each paper makes up 50% of this IGCSE Geography qualification.

You will be required to sit two paper based written exams. Each paper makes up a percentage of your overall IGCSE qualification, and one piece of coursework as set out below:

  • Assessment 1: 1 hour 45 minutes – 45% of IGCSE – 75 marks weighted to 100 marks.
  • Assessment 2: 1 hour 30 minutes – 27.5% of IGCSE – 60 marks

• Assessment 3
  • Assessment 3: Coursework (2000 words) or Written Exam (1 hour 30 minutes) – 27.5% of IGCSE – 60 marks.
