Description

This Understanding Domestic Abuse Level 2 qualification is for anyone who has a responsibility to respond to domestic abuse or support those experiencing domestic abuse. This includes employers, teachers, health and social care workers and anyone involved in safeguarding vulnerable adults, children or young people.

The annual Crime Survey estimates that almost 2.5 Million adults experience domestic abuse each year. The new Domestic Abuse Act 2021 makes prosecuting domestic abuse more straightforward, and offers more protection to those who are being abused, but cases still need to be identified and responses need to be effective.

This Understanding Domestic Abuse Level 2 qualification is designed to give you the foundation knowledge on the signs of domestic abuse to be able to support individuals.

Course Units

The Understanding  Domestic Abuse Level 2 course is made up of four units:

• Understand domestic abuse (including domestic violence)
• Understand the signs and risk factors associated with domestic abuse
• Understand the impact of domestic abuse
• Understand policy, response, and intervention about domestic abuse

Course Assessment

Your tutor will provide you with feedback on your work and let you know what needs to be changed in order to finish that unit.

You will receive text reminders when your work is due. Your work will be marked by the course Tutor and returned within 7 days.

Course Outcome

Upon successful completion of this course, Learners will achieve an NCFE CACHE Understanding Domestic Abuse Level 2 qualification. Your certificate will be posted out to your home address.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. It is highly recommended that you possess a proficient command of the English language to successfully finish the course.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Aged over 19+ years
• Lived in UK for 3+ years
• Not on any Apprenticeship
• Have valid ID

Duration
