Course Assessment
You will be required to sit three paper based written exams and one speaking exam to achieve the IGCSE Spanish. A pass grade is set at grades 4 / 5 and is formally a grade C). 9 is the highest grade equivalent to an A*. Each paper makes up a percentage of this GCSE qualification, as set out below:
- Paper 1Â Listening: 30 minutes – 25% of GCSE – 40 marks.
- Paper 2 Reading and Writing: 1 hour 45 minutes – 50% of GCSE – 80 marks (40 / 40 marks)
- Paper 3 Speaking: 8-10 minutes – 25% of GCSE – 40 marks

Other learning activities, tests or assignments will also be required to show your knowledge and understanding of the units you have just learned.
