Description
This Children and Young People’s Mental Health Level 2 course helps you understand the emotional health of a child. Furthermore, this is as important as their mental health, so it’s crucial for those working with children and teens to have a solid understanding of mental health concepts, risk factors, and impacts.
All children and young people deserve to be safe and well cared for within a safe and protective family. However, unfortunately this is not always the case. With over 50,000 children identified as needing protection from abuse in the UK, it is important that those working in the care sector understand the risks of abusive and exploitative behaviour that some children experience. Knowing what strategies are used to protect them from this behaviour, whilst following procedures, is essential to helping those affected.
Whether you’re involved in working with young children or just have a keen interest in the subject, it’s crucial to acknowledge the importance of a child’s emotional well-being. Interestingly, you will learn about factors which may affect children and young people’s mental health and how to support children and young people with mental health concerns. This Children and Young People’s Mental Health Level 2 qualification provides an excellent foundation into Paediatric Mental Health.
